MR Sport appointed Secretariat to Parliamentary Group for Commonwealth Games

MR Sport has been appointed Secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for the Commonwealth Games, taking their support of sporting Parliamentary Groups to ten.
The announcement was made at the Group’s launch in Parliament yesterday (Monday, 18 March 2019).
The Group brings together MPs and Peers of all parties to support and promote the Commonwealth Games, particularly the 2022 Commonwealth Games.  It will focus on the necessary regional development for such a large event, as well as the different venues and other essential infrastructure elements that are required.  Post-Games, the Group’s attention will focus on the Games’ legacy across the region.
MR Sport will provide operational delivery of the Group, as well as counsel to Members.
The Group is chaired by Dudley South MP, Mike Wood, who said of MR Sports’ appointment “we’re delighted to have MR Sport as our Secretariat.  Their long track record in supporting Parliamentary sport is outstanding and with their involvement in the Commonwealth Games Group, MPs, Peers and the Group are in good hands and will be sure to support the 2022 Games and our athletes as much as we can.”
MR Sport founder, Mark Ramsdale, said “it’s a great privilege to be supporting the Commonwealth Games Group.  From the Group’s inception it is clear MPs and Peers are looking to support the Games in whatever way they can and have already suggested a series of activities we are looking forward to delivering now the Group has been launced.”
