The Hawks’ Club has been in existence since 1872, and represents the best sportsmen in the University of Cambridge. Membership is by election only, and the usual criterion is that the candidate should have been awarded his Blue – ie have taken part in the match or race against Oxford in his particular sport.
The Club is seeking organisations to support its Charitable Trust which provides grants to current Cambridge University students, male and female, whose sporting activities are being inhibited by financial constraints.
The Club holds events at the likes of Henley Royal Regatta, Lord’s, Royal Ascot, Rugby Union Internationals, the Boat Races, and the House of Lords. Supporting organisations are welcome to attend, and receive opportunity to engage with current students and Old Boys.
